Alison is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor with 16 years experience. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Transactional Analysis. She is a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists: 118342 and the Association for Coaching: ALC0816M

Alison works with individuals who are looking for help to deal with specific issues like: anxiety; depression; stress; despair; bereavement; lack of confidence and with those wanting to focus on personal growth. She helps couples experiencing communication and conflict difficulties as well as those in crisis. For this she utilises the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, which is based on 40 years of research into what makes a successful relationship.

Alison has specialist knowledge of cross-cultural issues and transition resilience from her work within the expatriate and ATCK communities. This is particularly helpful to couples in an intercultural relationship and to individuals living outside of their home culture.

She holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree from De Montfort University and is also a qualified Coach, a Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner, has a British Psychological Society Approved Certificate in Clinical Supervision and has completed Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, Alison had a successful corporate career. She combines this experience with her psychological understanding to deliver business consulting and coaching.
