Graham Mortimer

Children, adolescents and young adults counsellor

I specialise in working with children, adolescents and young adults. For the past 26 years I have worked in education, for 15 years as a teacher in Nottingham City schools: and more recently working therapeutically in Derbyshire schools to enable children and adolescents to come to terms with issues they were facing and thereby gain more from life and learning.

I gained BACP accreditation as a person-centred counsellor during a period of 4 years at Base 51, a youth support service in the City of Nottingham: counselling young people from the ages of 11 to 25 from different cultural and religious backgrounds, who were at school, in higher education or apprenticeships.

I have considerable experience of working with children, adolescents and young adults, both male and female covering a wide range of issues, including anxiety, self-harm, self-esteem/identity, sexual orientation, major life changes, depression, anger management, young carers, relationships, family issues, loss and attachment.

If you’d like to discuss working together, please give me a ring for an informal discussion on 0782 861 5052.
